Floating the Boise River is a dangerous activity
Floating the Boise River is an inherently dangerous activity that can result in serious injury or death. Those floating the river may encounter fast-moving water, rapids, inclement weather, other rafters and swimmers, and obstacles. Some obstacles — including rocks, trees, branches, and litter — may be submerged and not visible from the surface. Rafts, tubes, and other watercraft and flotation devices may capsize, become caught on branches and rocks, be punctured, or become difficult to maneuver.
Infants, small children, individuals who cannot swim, and anyone with a serious medical condition should not float the river. Personal flotation devices should be worn by all persons while on the water. Tying or lashing together of rafts and/or tubes is prohibited.
Nothing on this website reduces these risks or substitutes for your own judgment about whether floating is appropriate for you, your family, or your group on any given day.

Equipment rentals are governed by our signed Equipment Rental and Release of Liability Agreement and the accompanying Passenger Release of Liability Agreement. If anything on this website conflicts with those documents, the signed agreements control. Rental terms — including the rental period, late fees, equipment-recovery charges, and replacement costs for lost or damaged equipment — are stated in the rental agreement you sign at the time of rental.
Assumption of risk
By renting equipment from BRRT and by floating the Boise River, you knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with the activity, as more fully described in the rental agreement and release you sign.
